Time sure flies when you’re having fun. We spent the 1st week of my vacation at the inlaws. We did a little activities but we also helped them around the house. I worked about 15 hours on the Father inlaw’s shed addition. Yes, shed addition, a 10×12 one. It was nice because it gave a pretty nice suite of pointers and tips for next year when I’ll build my shed next year.
We also went for a little blueberry picking expedition. We only went for about an hour at 3.5 people. I say 3.5 because we were 5 but the teenagers quitted early and ate a bunch of blueberries on the fly. After an hour we had about 3 gallons worth of blueberries. I guess I’ll have to make some blueberry pie this fall.
We also went to visit the “Trou de la fée”. A loose translation would be “The Fairy’s Hole”. Sounds nasty doesn’t it?
It’s a natural cave that is about 125 feet deep. It was discovered in the 1940s during hydro dams construction and was “used” by some men during the Second World War to skip the mandatory drafting.
What’s planned for week number 2? Just lounging around and some house work. First item is going to finish the deck staining. Check out the blog for other stuff
Cheers!

J’aurais jamais cru.
