Benefits of Technorati

Upon reading JohnScott latest blog entry entitled whaaa? and after my friend Alexandre from Fortrel.net spoke about the Technorati tags on his blog entry Étiquetter ses billets I’ve seriously started to consider this myself. But what are the benefits of being a Technorati member? I know what they are for, Alex explains it pretty well, but I’d like to know the benefits and downside if any.

    I think it comes down to allowing your blog posts to be more easily indexed, categorized, searched and (obviously) found. In the end, it’s supposed to bring more readers to you blog.
